Man's best friend.

We once had a doberman when i was about 9 or 10 years old. His name was Jimmy.. that was 8 or 9 years ago(the dog in my picture is not jimmy). My dad loved him.. and one thing about dogs, their life span is only up to a maximum of 10years or so...

anyways.. when Jimmy turned 9 years old.. He became weak, really weak.. and we discovered some blood stains on the ground.. and we called the vet to come over to have a look. Unfortunately.. Jimmy has a tumour growing ON its neck. We didnt see it earlier..

The dog was in critical condition.. it could barely move. We couldnt do anything. The Vet performs an operation in our backyard. Jimmy was crying.. we could see the tears. There was alot of blood.

My dad started crying.

it was the first time i saw my dad cry. i guess i was old enough to tell that my dad really loved Jimmy. and moments after my dad started crying.. the rest of the family started crying too.

the vet told my dad that there is no hope for the dog. There was only 2 options left, 1 is to let it die a slow and painful death, the other option was the put it to sleep.

my dad chose to let the dog live for as long as possible..

Few days later.. as my mom went to take a look at Jimmy, Jimmy stood up and walked towards my mom, to let my mom pet him. After my mom pet him, Jimmy walked towards the far end of my backyard.. and layed down.

and he never woke up..

My dad got home from work and started digging a grave for Jimmy. It took my dad about 2hours or so to dig a grave big and deep enough.. i couldnt help my dad, i was too young..

Dogs are indeed..a man's best friend.

...bye!
